General conference weekend (Oct. 6 & 7th), I
decided to go up to my parents house and spend the weekend there. I didn’t want
to be home by myself and I’m definitely glad I got out of the house. Conference
was a little difficult to listen to since I didn’t realize my parents didn’t
have the BYU channel, so I whipped out my laptop and listened to it that way
while JD played with all the loud toys he possibly could – hot wheels, marbles
that go through a “track,” trains etc. He was having a good time at Grandma and
Grandpa’s house with all the old toys we had growing up.
After conference on Saturday, we went to get JD a haircut,
which he absolutely hated, and he got a funky looking haircut out of it… and
then my parents bought me some much needed maternity clothes for work, and
headed to a Korean BBQ Restaurant. I missed Korean BBQ so much! Afterwards, we
went to get some ice cream, and headed to the pumpkin patch near my parents
house. JD has been loving pumpkin patches and gets super excited whenever he
sees pumpkins. He loves trying to pick them up, and whenever he can’t pick it
up, he just rolls the pumpkins over the next batch sitting next to him. It’s
super cute! When JD was finished rolling his pumpkins, he decided to it was the
perfect opportunity to play “pretend” baseball, and kept running around pumpkin
batches.
We did absolutely nothing but listen to conference, and JD
got to play. My grandma came to visit for a little bit, and then we had dinner
and left to head back home for another week of work. Later in the week, my mom
came to visit and help me out with everything. JD loved having grandma over!
