Wrapping Up Summer

Well our Summer has officially ended, and I have been the worst at documenting it. I'm not kidding when I say most of our time was spent at Modesto Nuts games, and JD loved every minute of it. This has been the biggest highlight of our Summer, so there hasn't been much you've missed out on.

Back in the middle of July, Tammy, Sophie and Violet came to visit from Africa, so it was the perfect opportunity for the cousins to reunite and get together for a weekend. Gramps picked JD up in the middle of the week to spend time with his cousins, so I don't have any pictures of what they did while he was away, so here is the link to my sister-in-law's blog post of what they did while Justin and I were busy at work: click here. Justin and I joined the gang by the weekend and had a lot of fun going to Tilden park, and watching the A's game.

As you may have seen in an earlier blog post, we went to the Stanislaus County Fair twice and had lots of fun.

We even tried potty training for a couple months, but that hasn't been going too well, so we decided to take a break for a little while.

Although we have had some fun moments, we have also had some difficult ones. Justin's grandfather (aka Granddad) past away soon after his 80th birthday. JD and I were grateful that we were able to make it and celebrate his special day with him. I feel blessed to have known him and to be part of his family.
