The Stanislaus County Fair & Justin's Birthday

Aside from the whole being pregnant thing, this is one of the most recent things we have done lately and I'm actually blogging about it 2 weeks later (that's an improvement). All of us had ALOT fun at the Fair, that we had to go back again the next day. Justin was working at the fair Monday night since the Modesto Nuts was one of the sponsors, and JD and I met up with him after I got off work. JD and I had to wait a little while until Justin was off so we walked around the fair and looked at the animals, went through a few of their exhibits and played at the Modesto Nut's table. We didn't have to wait very long for Justin to get off and play with us.

Here's what we did the first night:

Saw the Fouls

Played knock the pints down

Wally was there to help the second time around...

Got JD's caricature done

Saw the sheep

Pet the animals at the petting zoo.

And rode the Merry-Go Round

Since Justin was able to score a couple extra free tickets, we decided to go again the next day. We were glad we did since we didn't spend as much time as we would've liked the day before, and there was still more to do.

Lowe's free building work shop.

JD loved hammering away

The final result, a heart picture frame that opens up.

JD's first pony ride!!!

He was nervous at first, but once the pony started to pick up some speed, he loved it!

They even had a little train exhibition set up, and JD loved seeing the trains go by.We bought a couple cupcakes from the Cupcake Lady and Justin somehow got to talking and got a free cupcake, all because he said one of the cupcakes looked really good and was very enthusiastic about it. Happy Birthday to him!

The next day was Justin's birthday, so we met somewhat halfway to meet his family (which included Tammy and the girls!!!), and celebrated at the Squeeze Inn, with homemade cake that Grammy & the girls helped make. We had a fun week!
