The Christmas Post

I enjoyed Christmas this year, as it was the first time in a while that I was able to spend it with my family (at least since I have been married). The year Justin and I got married, it was with Justin's family. Then the year after that we were in Rexburg and I was working at a hotel and had to work that day, plus I was 8-9 months pregnant, so we weren't able to make it home that year. Then it was back to Justin's family again. This time, we were back at home, and it was my family's turn. So, for the first time ever in over 3 years of being married, we spent the night at my parents house. For some reason, I was very excited about it, while I'm sure Justin was "thrilled."

Our family's get togethers are very, very small, so I think my family was excited that they had JD to entertain all of us. This was also the first time Justin and I put a stocking together for JD. Last year we didn't put one together since Justin knew his mom would put one together for him, and felt he didn't need two. We were both very ok with that. But this year, I was very excited and determined to get the best stocking stuffers!

JD was spoiled, and got a lot of cool things, although it's not very hard to make a (almost) 2 year old happy. He got a train set & table, a bike plus a Car's helmet and bell, a sweet Lightening McQueen tent, clothes (he doesn't grow quickly, but he is always in need of new clothes), and a whole bunch of awesome toys from everybody. The "big" gift Justin and I got him was a Home Depot tools set and golf toy that we scored at a Toys R Us Black Friday. JD also had a lot of fun opening presents. He was a little hesitant at first, but as soon as he got into it, he wanted to open every one else gifts.

We hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas, and wish you all the best in the New Year!
