JD keeps busy

Some days I am very good about coming up with something to keep JD happy and entertained, like earlier this week. I had talked about making a gingerbread house with JD to Justin since the beginning of this month, but of course he wasn't too excited about it. But, about a week and a half ago, Kelly heard the conversation and bought us a Gingerbread House making kit! So, we finally got around to on Monday, since everyone had the flu last week. JD wasn't at all interested when I was making the frosting, but as soon as he was able to start decorating it, he got into the spirit. He had a lot of fun making it, and only stole one piece of candy. Unfortunately for him, it was a gummy candy, and he isn't a big fan of those, so he just spit it back out.

I should mention he didn't steal this one... I gave it to him.

The next day, thanks to Kelly, we were able to come up with another fun filled activity. We picked out a train to paint. To our dismay, when we took it out of the box, one of the wheels was missing! I was pretty peeved, since JD was having a lot of fun playing with it, and they didn't have another one at the store to exchange it with. At first, I was going to be ok with the fact that it was missing a wheel, but the more I thought about it, and the more he played with it, I realized that this wasn't going to be much of a fun toy if it's broken. So, we had to settle with a truck--thank goodness it wasn't missing a wheel. Once we started painting the truck, JD forgot all about the train.

Most days, though, JD is happy playing with his trains. Just wait til you see the Christmas present he's going to get! (Below: This isn't the Christmas gift you're suppose to be waiting for).
