Ok, so it's been just over a week since I've been home and with my wonderful family! I have just been lazy and occupying my time with them instead of blogging. :) I cam home on Saturday April 7th, and the first person I got to see when I got home was JD!!! I was so insanely happy to see that kid. At first, I was a little worried that he wouldn't remember who I was, after all, it was 3 weeks since I had seen him. But he knew exactly who I was and started WALKING towards me! When I left him a few weeks before, he was at the beginning stages of walking, so it was a surprise to see him walking all on his own. He gave me a huge hug, and I was just so glad to see him. I don't think there are any words to describe how happy I was to see him.
Later that night, since Justin was working, we went down to see the game, but mainly Justin. Justin had been so busy that week and the week before preparing for opening day, that Justin didn't see JD for a week, so he was happy to see JD as well. JD and I didn't really watch the game, since all JD wanted to do was walk around, and I was very OK with that, since we spent a lot more time walking around Justin's guest services booth.
We spent the night in Modesto, and thank goodness for that, since I came in early that morning, and was way too tired to drive more than an hour back home, and Justin had been getting home late, and having to go back to work early again the next morning for the past 2 weeks - this was a good little break for him.
It's been so nice to be with my family again. I'm amazed at how much JD has grown, and I've almost forgotten that I was even away from him for that amount of time. Thank you to my amazing family for helping us so much with everything in the last few weeks! Jeff and Tammy - thank you for putting up with our kid, especially when he had pink eye! Gerry and Kelly - Thanks for being great grandparents and watching JD on the weekends! Mom and Dad - Thanks for helping us with the move! We couldn't have done any of this if it weren't for you guys! :)
