Well, I'm finally moving out of the food business and into something new! Yesterday, while working at the Safeway deli, I was paged over the intercom to come upstairs and meet with the managers. Scared that I was about to be told I was getting fired, I slowly and reluctantly went upstairs to see what was wrong. First, they introduced me to someone and I thought that was it. They all knew I was nervous, and finally after a few minutes of waiting, they asked me if I would be interested in working at the Customer Service booth? I said yes!! I hate the deli, and now I finally am moving out. It's too bad they asked me before I was leaving... But I'm really excited to:
#1. Move out of the food business
#2. Gain more experience and skills other than food service.
I'll be doing book keeping, refunds, probably selling cigarettes and lottery tickets (thrilling...), and all the other customer service stuff I'll learn about. I start in 2 weeks! The best part about this whole thing is, I didn't even apply for the position! They just thought of me and thought I'd be good for the job. :)
What's going on with Justin you ask? He's done with school for the summer. That's all!
