Danny's Baby Blessing & JD's 3rd Birthday Party

I feel like this was so long ago... First off, let me start by saying we are currently living Seaside, CA and we are LOVING it! We moved in February 7th, and it took me 3 weeks to basically get everything unpacked and make our house a home. I had 3 weeks until Danny's baby blessing when we moved in, and that was my motivation. The weekend of Danny's baby blessing, both of our parents came and helped us get ready with prepping and cleaning. I'm so thankful for them!

Danny looked awesome in his blessing outfit, and Justin gave Danny a lovely blessing (no. Danny didn't cry as much as JD when Justin blessed him. Although, I remember Justin pulling out JD's bink right before they went up to bless him (he may tell you something different).

Afterwards, we came back to our place and celebrated JD's 3rd birthday with everyone. Justin wasn't there for his actual birthday, and we wanted to make sure we celebrated with as many people as we could. We made it an Oakland Athletics's birthday party, and JD loved it! Although, there were problems with the cake... We had gone to the grocery store earlier in the week to place a cake order that was a baseball cake. The day before his birthday party, we went to pick up the cake. Unfortunately, the cake we ordered Wednesday night could not be found, and they couldn't even find the order form for the cake. Luckily, the lady in the bakery was able to whip one up within 30 minutes, and I told her the same information we told the first lady. I couldn't see what she was writing, but I didn't think anything of it.

Justin went in to pick up the cake with JD, and asked for it while I sat in the car. The lady seemed so excited about the cake and went in the back to pull it out. She came out and showed the cake to JD... however, it was not the baseball cake we ordered. It was a FOOTBALL cake! Justin mentioned that it was suppose to be a baseball cake and the lady's face immediately turned into worry. Justin, being the good guy that he is, said it was alright and JD was super excited regardless. (Justin found out a week later that someone in his class ordered a cake from the same grocery store and they lost her order as well... never ordering a cake from there again).

So, we had A's decorations with a football cake. It was actually pretty funny, and the lady managed to put "Let's Go Oakland" on the front of the cake, as well as the green and gold borders we wanted. JD got some pretty awesome gifts and was definitely happy that he was able to celebrate his 3rd birthday again.

We love both our boys and are grateful for all those who were able to make it out to their special day!
