Before thanksgiving we...
Bundled up for the BYU vs San Jose State game thanks to Justin's Aunt & Uncle for not going. :)
And JD made a turkey in Primary
Thanksgiving was a lot smaller this year since a lot of Justin's family was celebrating elsewhere. Nonetheless we did have a yummy Thanksgiving dinner. We had a fun short weekend and went up to Sacramento where we visited the Train Museum, in hopes that after we'd ride on a train with Santa somewhere close to the Train museum. Unfortunately, we found out that the tickets that had been purchased for the Santa Train was located in Sonoma, not Sacramento, which is about 3 hours south of Sacramento. It was a little disappointing, but JD was having fun with Dean that it made no difference to him what we were suppose to be doing. Instead, the cousins (JD, Dean, and Maggie) took pictures with Santa in a theater that was right next to the Train Museum. Afterwards, we headed over to the Squeeze Inn to enjoy a delectable cheese skirt burger.
It has been a pretty relaxing December, so not much has happened. Justin is doing the 1 1/2 hour drive to Modesto, once again, 5 days a week so he's been having lots of "fun." I've been doing a lot of job hunting online, and had an interview this past week with the City of Modesto as a Recreation Leader. Nothing too promising there. I'm not in panic mode yet, but I will be pretty soon. Justin is enjoying his large office with the Modesto Nuts, and found out that his official title is "Director of Public Relations." He's pretty legit. :) So far, we are very happy with our decision to accept the offer with Modesto.
JD continues to be happy and healthy, except for this past week where he caught the flu, and passed it on to everyone in the house except Gerry. It hasn't been a fun week for most of us. Other than that, JD is eager to help around the house, as long as he's in a good mood. Every now and again JD will help me put the laundry in, loves baking (sometimes cooking) with Grammy, and every now and again will wipe the floor, chairs, or tables if you give him a rag/wipe. He even helped Gramps put the lights up.
Here are a couple of other things he's been up to lately...
Comfortably riding his car around
Loving those Hot Wheels my dad took down from the attack
Trying on Daddy's shoes
And eating cookies.
