It's time to "Ketchup"

Corny? Yes. Dumb? Possibly. But I don't really care.

It's been almost a month and it's time to recap about the last month. Let's start things off with JD. Before Jeff, Tammy and the girls left for Angola, JD was the best sleeper. He'd go to bed, most of the time without a peep and sleep through the night. However, after they left, things got all out of wack for him. Justin thinks it was because it was such a big change in JD's life that he was having a hard time adjusting to life without the girls. He'd wake up often in the middle of the night, and couldn't sleep without one of us. He also hated his crib, which was currently a pack-and-play since his real crib is in the storage unit (yes, we are still living with Justin's parents... we'll get to that later).

Finally, we decided that we were going to switch him to a real bed (since there is a twin bed currently sitting in Justin's old room) and buy one of those railings. He did fine for a couple nights, then started waking up again. We had to train him to sleep through the night once more. After crying it out the first night, he has been sleeping through the night again. He will wake up at least once in the night, but he just cries it out for a few minutes then goes right back to sleep. I'm so glad he's getting back into his hold sleeping habits again.

JD also went to the doctor's last week because there was a huge gap from the time he had visited a doctor in Rexburg before a visit in August. The doctor was worried about his weight since he had barely gained anything since his 1 year appointment. His last visit (in August) he weighed 20 lbs. This most recent visit he weighed 21 lbs. He gained a pound since his last visit, so he's still growing. The doctor still wants to see him again in 6 weeks... hopefully he'll just realize that JD is going to be a shrimp, unless he has other techniques to make him taller.

About a month and a half after I graduated I found a "job." I am working at a very fancy and rich club in Lafayette called Oakwood Athletic Club. Justin actually worked there for a few months before we moved back to Rexburg and did housekeeping... AKA: picking up and folding towels. I am working at the front desk and activities counter. My job includes checking people in, answering phones, scheduling aerobics classes, etc. Although it isn't a career, nor does it pay a lot, I actually like working there. The only thing I don't like about it is I often work closing shifts, so it gets really slow and extremely boring at night. However, it's the only shift that works with our schedule so it works out perfectly for us. Overall, I'm enjoying my time there.

Justin has finished his internship with the Modesto Nuts a couple weeks ago. They offered him his dream job, a Public Relations Manager and we had to turn it down. You may be thinking... WHY??? Well, the offer didn't include a nice monthly pay check that would help support our family, so after lots of prayer and fasting over the weekend we sadly had to turn it down. Justin did have an interview with a PR firm in San Francisco where he would be an intern. We'll see how things pan out, but we know that the Lord has something planned for us in the near future.

So, that's what's going on with us. JD and I are enjoying our time with Justin after a long summer of not having him home at night. We're looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for us.

P.S... Isn't he the cutest? Blackmail for when he's a teenager. Best. Mom. Ever. :)
