It's Hard to Say Goodbye

We have had a fun summer and we are so happy to be home. Since we're back in California, JD was able to spend all summer long with his cousins, Sophie and Vi who lived 15 minutes from us and before the summer even started lived with them for 3 weeks. We have gone on many adventures, and much of it has been spent with Sophie and Vi. Sorry, this post will be filled with pictures.

This summer we:

Went to Fairyland (Mine and JD's first time) with Grammy and the girls

Drank Sunny D

Had cousins from L.A visit and enjoyed a baseball game in a skybox.

We also went to a lot of A's games.

Learned how to play "catch"
(more like throw, we're not really at the catching point yet)

Played a lot in the backyard
(as well as at parks)

Went on a lot of field trips with Grammy and the girls
(an Oakland park)

Helped Grammy around the house

Fell asleep in the car after long days of fun

More playtime with cousins

Our first trip to Lake Powell on a House Boat

I promise they had fun together

Flew back to Rexburg, ID for my graduation
(this trip did not include the girls or grammy)

Went to Yellowstone for JD's first visit

Fed the ducks

First trip to Gilroy Gardens
(So fun!)

Visited the Oakland Zoo where JD loved petting the goats

Oakland Zoo mere cat dug out

More weekend fun with cousins

More A's games

JD's first trip on the ferry where got stuck between the benches

Visiting Pier 39

Free turtle bread from Boudin!

Went to the Giant's Stadium where the kids got to play baseball

Although JD was too small to go down Giants Stadium's slides, he decided it would be fun to climb up from the bottom and go down when he couldn't go up any further.

A little baseball field right outside Giants Stadium

And of course, more A's games!

We've had good times this summer. Justin wasn't able to make all of the trips, but when he could we loved it. We especially enjoyed our summer with Sophie and Vi and are really sad that they left us to live in Angola for 3 years. :( We miss you guys tons and can't wait until we can play again next summer!
