More Crafts

So it seems I've begun to have a little passion for sewing. Within one month, I have preoccupied my spare time with various hobbies, ones I have quite enjoyed. First, it was cake decorating, then pastries, and now sewing. I am not great at any of these, but I can't say I'm horrible at sewing. So I've completed another little bag.





This bag was actually the first bag I attempted, I just finished the strings and the flower after the green bag. I'm not sure which one I like better, I think I might be leaning towards this one.





And then, I just finished this sewing machine mat. I'm quite pleased with my projects so far, and am grateful that my mother-in-law has tons and tons of scraps left over from her many projects, and has let me use them to practice with. One thing I have noticed though is I have no patience to sit through a very long project, that's why I like doing these little projects. It gives me that sense of accomplishment.

In other news, since the Olypmics is finally over, I'm a little sad, and somewhat glad. Sad, because it only happens every four years, but glad because it has taken so much space on our DVR, it's ridiculous. We still have so much to watch from the Olympics, so I guess it isn't quite over for us. I'll definitely miss the short track speed skating, and figure skating, but all good things must come to an end. Oh well. Two more years 'til the Summer Olympics!
