Justin and I have reached our 6 month mark of being married, and yet it seems like it's been longer than that. Is that a bad thing? What's amazing is we've done so much as a couple already. We went to L.A/San Diego to watch a BYU game, celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas together for the first time ever, took a trip down to San Jose for my birthday, and just recently got back from a snowboarding trip in Tahoe.
I had never been snowboarding before, and I have always been interested in attempting the sport. Luckily, Justin had done it a few times before and was able to teach me. The ski resort we went to had a baby slope in which Justin refused to teach me at. Instead, he took me up to the slope most people went down. The very first run down the slope, Justin had yet to teach me how to stop, so when I finally stood up, was able to stand, and had long endured much of Justin's pushiness, down the hill I went. I only stayed up for a few seconds, and tumbled down, finding myself laying in the snow. When Justin was by my side, I looked up and said, "You didn't teach me how to stop!!!!" His reply, "I never told you to go."
There was lots, and lots of falling, laughing, pain, yelling, and feeling of accomplishment. At the end of the second day, I was painfully sore! And yet, I had done so much better. The next time I go up to the mountains, I think I'll go back to skiing and decide which one I like better.
Next month, we'll be going to the Oakland A's Spring Training down in Arizona. I've heard so much about it in the McKissick family, and finally the time has come to attend. Go A's!
