Due to laziness, a new love for sewing, and being occupied with work and school, I have not had the chance to blog within the last month and a half. Much has happened since then, a big decision was made, a trip to Disneyland, and baseball season has begun, meaning A's games for the McKissick family. Let's start with our big decision.
Justin and I have decided that we are going to go back to school at BYU-Idaho this August, and we're totally stoked about it! Although Rexburg, Idaho is not exactly the ideal place to live, we still have a place for it in our hearts. :) Justin already has a job lined up as a sports caster through the internet. What this means is he'll be doing the play-by-plays for local high school sports over the internet, and his pay will be through commission from advertisements that he sells. We're not really sure how it's going to work out--how much time it'll take, how much money he'll make--but it'll definitely give him the experience he needs for his future career. As of right now, he has decided to major in Broadcast communications, with a career as some sort of audio mixer. (I'm always confused on what he wants to do since he was constantly deciding what to major in, and what he wanted to do).
I am still aiming my focus on Public Relations, and am starting to figure out what I might want to do with it as a career. I have always wanted to be a wedding planner when I was growing up, and I might still want to do something like that. One thing I would absolutely love to do is own my own business. Selling what? No idea, it's just a fun thought, and with all this technology there are plenty of ways of making your business/product known (facebook, twitter, etc.). A few things we're looking forward to at BYU-Idaho is our friends, the great school, and just doing all the college activities the school provides for us sports-wise, entertainment-wise, and not to mention, people our age in our church ward.
So, the Disneyland trip was awesome, and since I still remembered Disney World it was fun to compare the two to each other. We had left on a Thursday night sometime in March and didn't get to Justin's grandparents house until about 1 or 2 in the morning. We woke up the next day at 6:30 to get ready and leave for Disneyland. Justin for some reason could not sleep, and managed to go the entire day with one hour of sleep the night before. I don't know what kept him up, maybe it was because he was so excited to be there, (even though I think I was more excited than he was), or his job at the Oakland airport has helped him manage to go without much sleep since he works late hours into the night. Whatever the case, I can promise you by the end of the day we were exhausted and crashed once we got into bed. The next day, we went to the La Brea Tar Pits and visited with Justin's side of the family. It was a fun trip overall, and tiring.
Baseball season has started, and that only means one thing in this family... A's Games! Seriously, I have never gone to this many baseball games until I met Justin, and the transition so far has gone pretty smooth I would say. At first, I could care less about baseball and all sports in general, but I figured if I was going to be in this family, I'd better start to like, if not love, sports because there's no way they'd skip out on any sporting event on TV or live. This last Thursday they gave out A's Sluggies, and that was one game I was looking forward to most. I think the snuggies are the most hideous things alive, but they were free and they're A's sluggies... can't go wrong with that.

And extra pictures of the nieces. They are so adorable!
Well, that's about all the catch up there is. I will do my best to be more faithful to this blog... no promises though.
