Highlights of 2010

Since we didn't feel the need to do a Christmas Newsletter Card this year (since there really is nothing that exciting going on in our lives just yet), and the year is just about over, I thought I'd do a quick little one on the blog in preparation for next year's card (that I hope we do).

Top 10 things that Happened in 2010

10. Celebrated my 21st birthday in San Jose which included a trip to the Winchester Mystery House & a Sharks hockey game

9. I went snowboarding for the first time... however, Justin forgot to teach me how to stop my first run down

8. Watched the Super Bowl Game in Tahoe

7. Eagerly volunteered for the "Give a Day Get a Day" thing for Disney and went to Disneyland for free with the McKissicks

6. We returned to BYU-Idaho to finish school (thanks for helping us move all our stuff to Idaho Mom & Dad)

5. Justin had 4 jobs within the last year, and is currently working at Melaluca calling the people who owe the company money

4. I volunteered with BYU-Idaho's Center Stage performing arts, working with professional artists, marketing strategies, campaigns, etc.

3. Justin did a lot of web-casting for sports on Campus

2. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary

1. Learned we were having a baby boy due February 9, 2011, in which we are very excited, and extremely nervous about

And that was our year in 2010! Have a Happy New Year!

Grateful

After a wild and enjoyable weekend, I finally have time to blog, and since Thanksgiving was a few days ago, it only seems appropriate to give "thanks."

I am so grateful for:
1. My husband. He has always been a supportive and loving husband, friend, and companion and I have no idea where I'd be without him around. He puts up with me, this includes my complaints, my snoring :), and my low moments where they may be most embarrassing to him. Thanks Just! :)

2. My family. They have done so much for me growing up, and I would not be who I am today if it weren't for them. I am grateful for all of their help, advice, and guidance. Thanks Dad for taking us wherever we needed to go, and thanks mom for all the yummy food you've made! You guys really are the best!

3. All of my in-laws. I have been so lucky to marry into such a wonderful family who helps us out so much, and seriously, we can't say thank you enough. It has been fun getting to spend time with them, and the crazy moments and adventures that occur. It makes my life entertaining!

4. Having the opportunity to be a mom (in less than 10 weeks!) It's weird to think that little J.D. will be here very soon, and I'm so looking forward to meeting him!

5. Getting to go home, especially after all that happened. It was great to be home, and to spend time with our family. It always makes it that much harder to leave after seeing them.

Justin & I are kind of a boring bunch when it comes to this Holiday. We both agreed that it's not really that much fun unless you're a kid, or have a kid. But, we're definitely looking forward to next year's Halloween! :) I love this time of year though; I love the decorations, and how the next two Holidays offer plenty of food and family time.

Justin is enjoying his new job at Melaluca... although he does get a few annoying customers who refuse to pay the company, meaning he gets to deal with that on a daily basis. For the most part, it's a great job--at least to have as a college student here in Rexburg. Other than that, not much else going on besides school, work, and me being pregnant. Good times. :)
