It's a BOY!

So, today was the big day! I don't know why, but I was somewhat nervous about finding out whether or not we were going to have a boy or a girl. I think it was because Justin had been trying to "brain wash" me into thinking it was going to be a boy. Whenever we went out to look at baby stuff, he would always say, "Don't even look at the girl's section. We're not having a girl." This just proves how badly Justin wanted a boy.

Knowing that he wanted a boy so badly, I was somewhat worried that he was going to be disappointed if it was a girl, which then led me to be even more worried and disappointed if it wasn't a boy. But, no disappointment whatsoever, whether or not it was a girl. I would have been happy either way! :) We're both thrilled, and overjoyed about having a baby (still nervous of course). After the doctor's, we went out and bought a few outfits for the lad. :) It was hard not to go crazy and buy tons of stuff, but we picked out some cute outfits to add to our collection.

We cannot wait until we meet Justin David McKissick Jr., aka "JD."

  1. When I was pregnant with Jeff, we went to Lamaze class --which coaches you through how to handle labor/delivery. At the end of the class, the teacher went around the room, asking the dads what they expected of their wives during labor. All of the dads said stuff like" I expect her to use her breathing" or "I expect her to stick to her focal point," and stuff like that (things we'd learned in class). Gerry said, "I expect her to have a boy." I'm pretty sure the Lamaze teacher wanted to toss him out of the class. Anyway, congrats. We're thrilled!

  2. Yay! Congrats on a little baby boy! But just know... that when you do have a little girl, Justin is going to spoil and love her like you can only do to a baby girl! ;) Just ask Harris!

But I'm so excited for you both! Can't wait to see him all dressed up in his A's outfit!
