Check Up

So, today we went in to for my regular monthly check up. Everything, so far, is going along fine. We met with the new doctor, who was very nice, a bit kooky, but overall nice. :) We also got to hear the baby's heartbeat! I still can't believe there's something growing in my belly. My appetite is definitely beginning to change. I get hungry more often now, but when I eat I seem to not be able to take in that much food at one time (perhaps that's the reason why I'm constantly hungry). There are even times where I need to eat two dinners (somewhat small proportions of course). Being pregnant is a weird one, and I CANNOT wait 'til my appetite is back to normal.

So far, here's what we have for baby "J.D." (Justin wants it to be a boy so badly), or baby Chloe!

The baby's stash of goodies, with the BYU shirt and Duckie booties (I forget what they're called) being the newest addition provided by my MIL. Next month we find out whether it's a boy or a girl! It's exciting!!!

This last weekend, we got to go down to Salt Lake to visit my MIL, who was visiting with her sister and friend. We went to a film festival and saw the documentary "Sons of Perdition." I hardly ever watch documentaries, but this one turned out to be really good. Somewhat depressing, but definitely an intriguing movie. It's about these teenage boys who were exiled from their families and communities by Jeff Warren, the "prophet" of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and try and start a new life in Southern Utah.

Spaghetti factory, the Mormon Tabernacle choir, and staying at the Little America (a sweet hotel that's been around for a long time) were three other highlights of the trip. When living in Idaho, it's always nice to go down to Salt Lake and be around civilization again. I miss California already!

Is this not a sweet hotel?! It was kinda sad that we were only staying there for one night.
