To celebrate, we didn't get to do anything too extravagant, since being poor college students expecting our first child, we cannot afford anything fancy. But we still had fun! Saturday, we went down to Idaho Falls and walked around the mall. Needless to say, after about 10 minutes of being there, we were bored out of our mind. A few reasons for this includes, it's an Idaho mall... it's no where near how fabulous the California malls are. :P And, as I've said before, no dinero to spend. However, we did spend a good amount of time at the Barnes & Noble. For dinner, we had Olive Garden (this was the real reason why we went down to Idaho Falls). It was delicious, except for the waiter that talked our heads off trying to sell us all types of non-alcoholic drinks.
After dinner, we decided to rent a movie at Red Box (who doesn't love $1 dvd rentals?) We rented "Where the Wild Things Are," and sorry to say, we were quite bored after 20 minutes of watching the movie. We waited a little bit longer until we finally decided to turn it off. Then we put in "Notorious," and I was not a fan, so we turned that off too.
Sunday, I made scrumptious waffles with bacon (Justin is a huge fan of bacon), and went to our new ward. I forgot how different it is to be at a school ward where everyone is so quiet, and a home ward, babies and children are crying/talking/finding things to do to keep themselves entertained. Although, so far we have no complaints about the ward so far! :) For dinner, I made this awesome lime chicken tacos recipe I found online. It was delish! And, since my parents forgot to bring the top of our wedding cake with them up here, (I forgive you guys :)) I made a strawberry cake with vanilla frosting! It was an enjoyable, and relaxing two days.
A year has flown by, and Justin and I have gone through many trials that we have needed to overcome together, and with the help of our Lord, have been able to strengthen and grow in our relationship. We have also faced wonderful, and exciting times together as well. What is kind of amazing to us is how easy it was to get along with one another. Whenever there was something one of us was doing that we weren't a fan of, we let each other know soon after. Justin has always told me how communicating in this relationship is important to him, and I could not have agreed more. I love him tons, and am so glad I'm stuck with him for eternity! Eternity would not be the same without him! :)
