I can't believe I'm almost 3 months pregnant. It doesn't even seem like it's been that long. So far, being pregnant is not exactly a party (not that that's what I was expecting).
The cons:
1.Morning Sickness
I must say, I feel pretty lucky after hearing some of the horror stories of other ladies during their pregnancy and how awful their morning sickness was. The first month and a half or so, I felt so sick, and swore I was going to puke. Now, it isn’t as harsh as it once was before—although I can’t say the feeling of nausea is has completely left me. The grand total of throwing up still remains at 3.
2.Frequent use of the bathroom
I use to be able to sleep through the entire night without having to get up to use the restroom. Now, a good night’s rest is rudely interrupted by a trip to the bathroom, not only once, but twice during the night. I can only imagine how much sleep I’ll loose with a crying baby in the middle of the night. Something to look forward to. ☺
3.Cravings
Trying to figure out what the heck I want to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner can be a challenge these days. Some days are easier than others, since I know exactly what I want. Other days, when Justin suggests something to me, or when I even think about food, I want to gag. I can’t even cook raw meat without wanting to gag, and when I cook raw food myself, I almost loose my appetite when it comes to eating it. How sad is that?!
4.Gaining weight
This may be the silliest reason of all, since it’s apparent that it’s going to happen. I’ve always liked having a somewhat slim figure, but little by little, I am beginning to notice my stomach growing. Justin doesn’t see it, but the way I look at my own body is going to be different to another person’s point of view.
Looking forward to
1. Finding out if it’s a boy or a girl!!!!!
2. Dressing the baby
3. Buying accessories for him/her.
4. Caring for him/her
5. Playing with the baby
6. A bigger family
7. Creating memories
8. More reasons to take pictures, especially of Justin, and of course the baby! ☺
9. And many more!
At least the things I’m looking forward to outweigh the awfulness of pregnancy. (Who likes being pregnant anyway?!)
Oh Meggie... If you have to pee 2 times a night now, wait until baby is jumping on your bladder all night! Congrats again!
